HVAC Mastery Privacy Policy

HVAC Mastery ("we", "our", "the app") is a learning application for HVAC and refrigeration trade education. We take your privacy seriously.

Data We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address — used for account authentication and password recovery.
• Display name — the name you choose to identify yourself in the app.
• Learning progress — completed lessons, quiz scores, earned badges, bookmarks, and study notes. This data is synced so your progress is preserved across sessions.
• App preferences — theme (light/dark mode) and reminder settings.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your location data.
• We do not access your contacts, camera, photos, or microphone.
• We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes.
• We do not use cookies or third-party tracking tools.

How We Store Your Data

All data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest. Passwords are cryptographically hashed and are never stored in plain text.

Payment Data

HVAC Mastery is currently free. We do not collect, store, or have access to any payment or financial information.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. We do not display advertisements. Your data is used solely to provide the HVAC Mastery learning experience.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings section (Profile > Delete Account). This permanently removes your account and all associated data including email, display name, progress, scores, badges, bookmarks, and notes. This action cannot be undone.

Children's Privacy

HVAC Mastery is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
